Michel Dumontet, winemaker and owner in Burgundy
Michel is a grower whom I have met two years ago; I had then the impression that I found a kind and funny old man, amateur of an occasional glass of wine, when all occasions are welcome.
-What? Are you from Moldova? … Ho ho ho … Then let us raise a glass of wine…
-What? You make wine there? …… Aaaaaaaa … Then let us raise a glass of wine…

-What? Your father is a physicist and makes homemade wine? … He he he … Then let us raise a glass of wine. And so on.
Michel has three passions:
1) Wine
2) Wine
3) Horses.
He loves horses that he even created a “cuvée” (which is called “coco si gamin”) in the honor of his horses. A bestseller … and a very interesting label – horse chariot (I did not think then to take a picture, and now when I met him again, he no longer had the bottle…What a pitty).

Of course I have tasted all the available wine and I left with the same impression as last time … Gamay, Gamay and again Gamay… Lighter, more subtle, rounder and coherent as a whole … As Coteaux Bourguignons 2013, Beaujolais Villages 2014 or Brouilly 2012, wines without a fuss that anyone would appreciate: no inhibitions and no obligations (you know what I mean).
This time, we teased each other as much as we could:
– Hello Moldova, you brought again iced wine?
-Yeah, I thought of you and your high blood pressure!
– Merci beaucoup for sure, but tell me if you always have such a sharp tongue?
– Only with friends … but you tell me, is your wine still as bad as it was?
And like this two days, from morning till night… Long live the friendship between peoples!
We said goodbye in a hurry, loading our trailers between two jokes, citing the “good” clients whom we have missed ….
See you next year.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site. It’s
simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance”
between superb usability and appearance.
I must say that you’ve done a awesome job with
this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome.
Outstanding Blog!
