Muscat can be somewhat undervalued wine, simply because its grapes deliver quite grapey aromas in wine. Yet these flavours can be complex, rich and balanced between acidity and that grapeyness.
This bottle of Muscat wine comes from 50 year old dry farmed bush vines which are field blends of varieties of the variety grown on granite. It comes from the stable of the Undurraga family and in particular Christobal Undurraga who is both viticulturist and winemaker for the Koyle wines. Cristobal comes with a great pedigree having worked at Ch. Margaux, with Phillip Shaw in Australia and at Montes in Mendoza.
